Created on 2015 Villakazi Rover Crew is a group of young individuals committed to making a positive impact in our community through service, leadership, and personal development. As part of the Kasarani Scouts Local Association Which is part to the Kenya Scouts Association, we engage in various activities that promote social welfare, environmental conservation, and youth empowerment.
Our mission is to help young people develop life skills, character, and leadership through fun, challenging outdoor and community-based activities like camping, hiking, and volunteering, focusing on "learning by doing" to build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility. They earn badges for mastering new skills, from survival to STEM, while exploring their interests and making a positive impact.
Our crew led a local conservation clean-up focused on coastal and park restoration, combining service with leadership training.
A hands-on workshop focused on map reading, compass use and safe camping skills to build confidence in the outdoors.
Scouts learned essential first-aid skills including wound care, CPR basics and accident response to keep our community safe.
"Villakazi taught me real leadership — I learned to lead by serving others and to plan events that make a difference in our community."
"Being part of the Crew gave me confidence to try new skills and to work with others — the skills I learned are useful every day."
"I appreciate how Villakazi balances adventure with service — it shaped my character and gave me friends for life."
